Anna-Lena Schütte is the new managing director of the OAV
Ms. Anna-Lena Schütte assumed the role of Executive Director of the Ostasiatischer Verein e.V. (OAV) on June 1. She succeeds Ms. Almut Rößner, who is leaving the OAV after seven years of successful service.
With Ms. Schütte, the OAV gains a proven expert on Asia with extensive experience at the intersection of business, politics, and international relations. She has many years of expertise in the Asia-Pacific region and most recently served as Deputy Head of the Berlin office and Senior Manager of Public Policy at Infineon Technologies AG.
In this role, she focused in particular on geopolitical and foreign trade issues, as well as their impact on global supply chains, resilience, and economic security. Her responsibilities included helping to establish Infineon’s Berlin office and supporting key industrial and economic policy initiatives. This also involved providing political support for TSMC’s establishment in Dresden as part of a joint venture with European partners. In addition, she was responsible for the company’s positioning on economic and geopolitical developments relevant to the Asia-Pacific region.
In the course of her work, Ms. Schütte collaborated closely with federal ministries, embassies, trade associations, and think tanks, gaining extensive experience in policy consultations, expert dialogues, and high-level forums.
