Anna-Lena Schütte will take over as managing director of the OAV on June 1, 2026

Anna-Lena Schütte will become the new managing director of the Ostasiatischer Verein e.V. (OAV) in Hamburg effective June 1, 2026. The association’s executive committee has appointed the current deputy head of the Berlin office of Infineon Technologies AG to succeed Almut Rößner, who is leaving the association by mutual agreement on August 31, 2026, after more than seven successful years, in order to pursue a new career path.

“We are pleased to have found in Anna-Lena Schütte a highly competent and dedicated successor who is thoroughly familiar with issues affecting the German economy in the Asia-Pacific region and who has an outstanding network in German business, politics, diplomacy, and the German association sector,” says Dr. Arnd Nenstiel, Chairman of the OAV.

As deputy head of Infineon’s Berlin office, Anna-Lena Schütte was most recently responsible for key issues at the intersection of economic security and technology policy, oversaw internal strategic coordination and external representation in dealings with policymakers, diplomats, and industry associations, and supported major investment and site projects. A particular focus of her work was the Asia-Pacific region, specifically providing active support to local sites on issues related to supply chains, sustainability, innovation, and competitiveness within the political and regulatory landscape. In addition, she represented Infineon for many years in the East Asian Association and was actively involved with the OAV Young Leaders.

Almut Rößner is leaving the OAV on August 31, 2026, to pursue new career opportunities. On the occasion of her departure, Dr. Arnd Nenstiel says: “We regret Almut Rößner’s departure and thank her on behalf of all members and partners of the association for her work—carried out under sometimes very challenging conditions, such as the COVID-19 pandemic and geopolitical upheavals. Almut Rößner represented the concerns and interests of our member companies with dedication and professional expertise in dealings with political and economic stakeholders. Her commitment also led to the creation of a variety of new initiatives, such as “Ambassadors in Dialogue,” innovative concepts for delegation trips, and regional initiatives in the Asia-Pacific region. Under her leadership, particularly last year on the occasion of the 125th anniversary, numerous exchange formats on foreign trade topics and events featuring high-ranking speakers and guests of honor—such as the Federal President and Asian government representatives—took place. We wish Ms. Rößner all the best for her personal and professional future and continued success.”
