Hamburg Foreign Trade Day 2026
The global landscape for foreign trade is changing rapidly: geopolitical tensions, new trade rules, and competition for critical raw materials pose significant challenges, particularly for small and medium-sized enterprises. At the same time, emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, quantum computing, and new energy technologies are driving structural change in international markets.
The conference will examine the extent to which Germany and Europe are dependent in key areas—and what concrete implications this has for supply chains, procurement strategies, and investment decisions among small and medium-sized enterprises. The focus will be on practical questions:
How can risks in the supply of raw materials be mitigated?
Which markets offer realistic alternatives for procurement?
How can companies maintain their competitiveness in a global environment increasingly shaped by technology and geopolitics?
In addition to practical keynote presentations, inspiring discussions, and personalized advice from the worlds of politics, business, and academia, the event offers in-depth insights into international growth markets as well as a wide range of opportunities for exchange and networking. The goal is to provide guidance to small and medium-sized enterprises and to highlight concrete courses of action for an increasingly complex international business environment.
The OAV—German Asia-Pacific Business Association —will have a booth at the event.
As in previous years, the event will be conducted in German. We look forward to seeing you there!
