Singapore - Viet Nam Economic Co-operation: Future Development of Da Nang

Being one of the five biggest cities under the direct administration of Vietnamese Central Government, Da Nang has undergone an innovative revolution with more sustainable approaches of urban development. Serving as a key socio-economic and dynamic city, a center of services, commercial activities, seaport and an important traffic hub in Central Viet Nam and Central Highlands, the city has featured continuously strong and stable economic growth and ever-increasing living standards of its citizens.

Regarding the city’s development orientation to 2030 with a vision to 2045, Da Nang is striving to become a large, ecological and smart city, a center of entrepreneurship, innovation and a coastal city worth living in Asia. Accordingly, the city is focusing on developing five key sectors: (1) Tourism and high-quality services associated with real estate and resorts, (2) Seaports and airports associated with logistics services, (3) High-tech industry associated with smart city and start-ups, (4) Information technology industry associated with digital economy, (5) High-tech agricultural and fishery products.

With the aim of discussing future development of Da Nang City, the Asia Competitiveness Institute (ACI) of Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy and Singapore Business Federation are organizing a webinar via Zoom platform. Da Nang People’s Committee is pleased to collaborate with Singapore entities in this event and to showcase the city’s business environment and new investment opportunities.
