The Bhutan AgriTrade Investment Forum (BATIF) 2024 aims to capitalize on investment opportunities within Bhutan's Agrifood Systems. With over 100 participants expected, including government officials, industry leaders, international organizations, and civil society representatives, the objective is to foster collaboration and dialogue to drive economic growth, promote social inclusion, and ensure sustainable management of Bhutan’s natural resources in alignment with the Sustainable Development 2030 Agenda.

The focus lies in identifying investment opportunities and forging partnerships to enhance the capacity and scale of Bhutanese agri-food ventures. The aim is to facilitate engagement with policymakers, investors, and development partners to support the implementation of national agricultural strategies and investment plans.

By bringing together stakeholders from various sectors including national and local players, donors, financial institutions, private enterprises, producer organizations, civil society, and research institutions, the goal is to accelerate the adoption of essential means of implementation such as technology, data and information, capacity development, and funding to advance identified products and programs.
