We are pleased to inform that the Ministry of International Trade and Industry of Malaysia together with Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA), and Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE) with support by OAV is organising the seminar on Business and Investment Opportunities in Malaysia as Gateway to ASEAN on 7 th November 2019 (Thursday) at Le Meridian, Stuttgart. This is in conjunction with the trade and investment mission to Europe led by Datuk Darell Leiking, Minister of International Trade and Industry of Malaysia together with federal, state government officials and members representing the business community.

Malaysia, strategically located in the heart of South East Asia, offers a cost-competitive location for investors intending to set up offshore operations for the manufacture of advanced technological products for regional and international markets. Malaysia has been built on a foundation of orderly systems and institutions that promote a business friendly environment, resulting in strongly anchored economic fundamentals. It is one of the most diversified economies in the world providing the right balance to the economy as the gateway to ASEAN with GDP size of USD2.55 trillion and 634 million population.

Germany is the strongest economy in Europe and one of the largest in the world. It is the birthplace of Industry 4.0 and well known for its innovative future technologies. As Malaysia is moving towards strategic diversification to increase competitiveness, particularly in high-value products and high-end services, there is much scope for expansion for German investments in Malaysia. We welcome more German investors to leverage on our country’s competitive and comparative advantages, especially in industries such as Electrical & Electronics, Machinery & Equipment, Chemicals, Life Sciences and Transport Equipment.
