China Update: PRC Personal Information Protection Law: Challenges to Business and HR Management

01. September 2022, Online

The PRC Personal Information Protection Law was promulgated on 20 August 2021 and is in force since 1 November 2021. The new law refines the rules on processing of personal information and cross-border provision of personal information, rights of individuals in processing activities and obligations of personal information processors, etc. with more details. It imposes considerable challenges on companies in processing personal information in daily operation, including processing the personal information of business partners and consumers while doing business and processing the personal information of employees for HR management purposes.

What are the challenges the law will bring to companies during the daily work especially for business and HR management? How should companies deal with personal information properly and legally?

To address these and further questions, we kindly invite to our next China Update under the title "PRC Personal Information Protection Law: Challenges to Business and HR Management" which we organise with our member company CMS Legal. The webinar will take place on 01 September 2022 from 10:00 to 11:00 am CEST.

During this webinar, data protection and labour law experts from CMS, China, will provide an overview on the law and share their insights with you.

The webinar will be held in English.
