Business Scout Fund Project „Use of digital technologies in agriculture”

This project is designed to transfer know-how and discuss feasible applications of digital technologies into the agricultural and food sector. By the organization of expert seminars, dialogue events and specific trainings on Artificial Intelligence (AI) we foster a continuous exchange between Asia, Africa and Germany. Herby we aim to raise awareness for existing digital solutions and their adaptability to other countries and identify new possible applications. The project activities support, for example, the achievement of the UN development goals “zero hunger”, “quality education” and “partnerships for the goals”.

Originally, the project was designed to foster the exchange only between five African countries (Morocco, Senegal, Cote d’Ivoire, Ghana, Cameroon) and Germany. Due to its success, it was expanded in 2022 also to Asia, namely to the countries India and Indonesia.

The project is led by OAV in cooperation with Steinbeis Research gGmbH and financed by the Business Scouts for Development Programme on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).

All events in the context of the project will be published here:
