3rd Korean-German Energy Day 2020

07. December 2020 - 09. December 2020, Webinar

As industry-based economies, Korea and Germany face similar challenges when it comes to shaping their energy system’s future. Both countries aim to significantly reduce their carbon emissions by increasing the usage of renewable energy while phasing out nuclear energy and reducing the reliance on fossil fuels. Both countries also see green hydrogen as one pillar of both their future energy system and post-Covid-19 recovery strategy.

On behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi) and the Korean Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy (MOTIE), we would like to invite you to the 3rd Korean-German Energy Day that will take place online from the 7th – 9th of December 2020.

The Korean-German Energy Day is part of the Korean-German Energy Partnership formed between the two ministries in December 2019. The event provides a platform for energy experts from government, industry, research and civil society to exchange views, engage with one another and learn from each other’s experiences.

This year’s Korean-German Energy Days will focus on three main themes, each reflected in one of the conference days: Socially just transition to a new energy system on day one, the role of green hydrogen for the economy on day two and renewable energy implementation, especially offshore wind and solar PV, on day three.

You find the detailed programme under https://kg-energyday.com/en and can register for the event on this page.

The main language of the event is English. The main parts will be translated simultaneously between Korean / English. Participation is free of charge.
