Sri Lanka – Business Opportunities in IT and Outsourcing

28. October 2020, Webinar

For many years, Sri Lanka has established itself as a hub for the international IT and Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) sector. Trailing the textile and tourism industry, the IT/BPO sector accounts for 13.2 percent of service exports. Sales have passed the $1bn threshold. Local start-ups as well as global IT firms are working here to provide digital solutions for the global market. The country offers good infrastructure, a young, English-speaking population, and comparatively low costs. Which further selling-points does Sri Lanka offer as an IT location?

To provide you with an answer, we cordially invite you to the webinar "Sri Lanka – Business Opportunities in IT and Outsourcing" which is organized by the Frankfurt Chamber of Commerce (IHK Frankfurt am Main) in cooperation with the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Berlin, the Consulate General of Sri Lanka in Frankfurt, the Delegation of German Industry and Commerce in Sri Lanka (AHK Sri Lanka) and the OAV - German Asia-Pacific Business Association.

During the webinar, entrepreneurs will show how German-Sri-Lankan cooperation works in practice and experts will share insights in the economic development and the dynamic IT-sectors of Sri Lanka and of the German state of Hesse.

The webinar will be held in English. Participation is free of charge, but requires a registration here.
