In 2018, the world’s largest government funded healthcare scheme, Ayushman Bharat, was introduced to enable low-income households to get better access to healthcare. Analysts expect the healthcare market to reach a size of 372 billion USD by 2022, driven also by rising incomes, greater health awareness, lifestyle diseases and increasing access to insurance.
